Senior Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing our portfolio of projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track projects and programs to ensure compliance with defined tolerances and exceptions, identifying and flagging deviations related to scope, time, quality, cost, and benefits.
  • Advocate for delivery services best practices and methodologies across the Technology portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement and standardization.
  • Analyze project data and information to identify more efficient ways to deliver initiatives, providing actionable insights to senior technology leaders.
  • Support the development of status reports according to the reporting schedule, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Report on project/program timeline issues, offering solutions and recommendations to mitigate delays.
  • Collaborate with Technology Project/Program Managers to produce and update project documentation in line with established methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on benefit progress, ensuring alignment with reporting cadence and organizational objectives.
  • Assist in progress management, including submission into organizational tools, monitoring financial progress, and providing variance commentary.
  • Help the Project Managers with monthly financial tasks, including accruals, forecasts, and budgets as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience in a similar role, such as Program Coordinator, PMO Analyst, or Lead in a commercial capacity.
  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Engineering).
  • Project Management qualifications or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI) are highly preferred.
