Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Physical Education Specialist to lead our school community in Melbourne.

This full-time position focuses on delivering engaging PE lessons across Foundation to Year 6, fostering a love of movement, teamwork, and healthy living.

The role involves designing and implementing a curriculum that encourages physical fitness, motor skills development, and overall health within the Victorian Curriculum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading students in various physical activities, sports, and exercises to enhance their cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and coordination.

They will also provide guidance and constructive feedback to help students improve their individual and team-based skills.

Instilling values of sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork through organized sports and group activities is a key aspect of this role.

Assessment methods will be used to gauge individual and group performance, with feedback provided for improvement.

Creating an inclusive environment that accommodates students with different abilities and learning styles is essential.

Adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring everyone can participate and experience success, is a key responsibility.

Ensuring a safe and secure environment during physical activities, implementing proper safety protocols, is paramount.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
  • Demonstrate previous experience in general Primary/PE in Australia/NZ
  • Graduates welcome to apply
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years
