We seek a passionate and knowledgeable Manager of Community and Early Learning Services. The successful candidate will lead service provision and drive the strategic direction of our Early Learning Services including 5 Early Learning Centres, and the Community Capacity Building function.

  • This is a permanent, fulltime role (70 hours per fortnight)
  • Salary ranging from $157,379 - $196,088 plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Car Allowance: $10,780 per annum
  • The role is based at the Civic Centre in a CBD location, with regular travel to our 5 service locations and other Council facilities
  • We offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Key Accountabilities

  1. Lead service provision and drive the strategic direction of our Early Learning Services
  2. Manage the Community Capacity Building function and respond to community challenges and opportunities
  3. Develop and implement programs to improve outcomes for children and families
  4. Foster partnerships with government agencies, community organisations, and local businesses

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care or Social Sciences
  • Demonstrated minimum 5 years management experience in an early childhood and education setting
  • NSW Class C Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Identify and respond to children and young people at risk certificate
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and program planning processes
  • Knowledge of NSW Regulatory Authority regulations and NSW Education's funding procedures
  • Knowledge of the Quality Improvement Plan and Rating and Assessment Process for Long Day Care, Pre-School, and Occasional Care Services

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post graduate qualifications in Business or Management
