Key Responsibilities

The Rail Superintendent will oversee the planning and scheduling of track maintenance and rolling stock maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the scope of work, personnel, resources, and equipment to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identifying and managing risk and changes in project requirements.
  • Leading a culture of excellence in HSSE, quality, productivity, and performance.
  • Providing technical and progress support to project staff and client representatives.
  • Ensuring project compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in a Superintendent role, managing and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team and supervision onsite.
  • Cert III in Rail Infrastructure qualifications, including Track Certifier and Inspection competencies.
  • Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience in Rail & Track Maintenance.
  • Rolling Stock & Track Maintenance operations experience highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills and demonstrable experience managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
