Job Description

The Finance Officer will provide high-level financial support to maximize hospital revenue in a multi-skill team environment. The role involves maintaining financial records, adhering to relevant service standards, legislation and departmental policies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operational knowledge of financial instructions, legislation and accounting procedures for receiving, processing and recording financial system payments and adjustments.
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently, accurately and within set deadlines while delivering results with a stakeholder focus.
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse clients, staff and business organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Accurate data checking and investigation skills to resolve discrepancies and apply correct charges, calculations or codes prior to data entry.
  • Liaising with hospital personnel, interdepartmental staff and clients on revenue and account enquiries, providing advice and instruction on finance operational processes.
  • Experience with accounts receivable for debtors, reconciling and processing transactions in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Benefits

Salary: $73,811 - $79,779 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is included.
