Insolvency Accountant Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and competent accountant to join a dynamic and growing practice.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and be enthusiastic about continuing their career in the insolvency industry.

As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for managing corporate files, including Voluntary Administrations, Debtors in Possession Arrangements, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Court Liquidations, and Members Voluntary Liquidations, as well as personal insolvency matters.

You will work closely with your Senior Manager and/or the Managing Principal to ensure the smooth operation of these appointments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing management of insolvency appointments.
  • Preparation of correspondence and reports to creditors.
  • Conducting investigations and preparing statutory investigation reports.
  • Pursuing recoveries.
  • Assisting in preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts for trade-on appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring files and working papers are accurate and maintained appropriately.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and financial analysis skills.
  • A willingness and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Additionally, experience using insolvency and accounting software, such as Core IPS/Turnkey, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, is advantageous. Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options, are also available.
