Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist

As a Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring product compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to existing regulations in Australia and New Zealand, encompassing those pertinent to hair, laundry & home care products.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive repository of chemical and product records, including SDSs to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on our portfolio, and develop strategies for compliance.
  • Keep the organization informed about upcoming regulatory trends and proposed new regulations.
  • Advise stakeholders on regulatory matters, including product claims, and represent Regulatory Affairs in project and category meetings.
  • Review artworks from a regulatory perspective.
  • Collaborate closely with the R&D team to enhance capabilities and share best practices across categories and the region.
  • Promote a unified team culture by improving processes, procedures, and common ways of working.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry or comparable degree.
  • High-profile achievements in a regulatory role within FMCG or similar industry.
  • Proven ability to manage the complexity of multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance.
  • Able to build trusting relationships and collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Able to critically analyze situations and provide insightful observations and improvements.
