We are seeking a skilled Digital Curation and Preservation Specialist to join our dynamic team at the University of Melbourne.
This is a unique opportunity for you to utilize your expertise in digital curation, preservation, and repository management to contribute to the development and implementation of effective digital preservation capabilities across various initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, overseeing, and enhancing digital curation and preservation capability programs, including stakeholder, staff, and researcher training initiatives.
- Advising on, developing, and maintaining policies, workflows, and documentation supporting the preservation of the University's digital assets.
- Managing the daily operations of the digital preservation repository, ensuring efficient processes and monitoring for effectiveness.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding the longevity and accessibility of the University's digital assets. Your work will be instrumental in preserving significant cultural and historical collections, as well as research data management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in digital curation, preservation, and repository management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
