About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Apheresis Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient-centred, evidence-informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This includes providing expert nursing care in all areas of Apheresis, including therapeutic and cellular therapies and clinical trials.
The ideal candidate will have current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and apheresis experience with cannulation and CVAD management skills. They will also demonstrate an understanding of evidence-informed practice and critical thinking, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide expert nursing care in all areas of Apheresis, including therapeutic and cellular therapies and clinical trials.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Apheresis experience with cannulation and CVAD management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-informed practice and critical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a dynamic team.
