Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Home Care Worker to join our team in Parramatta. As a Home Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.
Responsibilities
- Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for older people.
- Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, as well as providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
- Delivering personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
- Offering respite and emotional support, as well as providing social support and transport to appointments.
- Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
Requirements
- A Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing.
- At least 6 months' experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
- A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
- Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
