Dairy Cattle Farm Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to join our team at Global Skilled Employment Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain milking plant and equipment
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve farm goals
  • Record and monitor instrument information
  • Understand and apply safe working practices
  • Perform multiple functions to produce high-quality outcomes
  • Maintain and repair farm machinery
  • Solve problems and make decisions within established guidelines
  • Assist with processes such as machine repair, artificial insemination, and fertiliser mix design
  • Operate standard measuring equipment and computerised systems
  • Contribute to the team and provide input to other members
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

  • AQF certificate II or III in Agriculture (or equivalent)
  • At least one year of recent and relevant work experience

Location: Multiple farm sites in SA

Tenure: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Comprehensive package from $65,835 pa (plus superannuation)
