About the Role

This is a newly created opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist looking to diversify their resume. This exciting role sits within our Network Project Team reporting into the Project Controls Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Update and analyse project cost data including budgets, actual costs and forecasts and prepare detailed cost reports to ensure projects remain within financial guidelines.
  • Schedule Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules including fully resourced loaded activities, critical path methodology and logically linked tasks.
  • Progress Tracking: Track, monitor, measure, and report on the progress of the project throughout its entire lifecycle using Earned Value Analysis techniques.
  • Change Management: Implement and oversee project control processes such as change management procedures to manage project scope, schedule and costs effectively.
  • Risk Management: Facilitate risk management activities, identifying and reporting on potential cost and schedule risks and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate and collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and performance metrics.
  • Documentation: Establish and maintain project documentation and records.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Finance, Engineering, and / or Construction Management, would be preferred.
  • High level of skill and proven extensive experience in project controls or related roles.
  • Well-developed communication and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience utilising Primavera P6 or a project planning software.
  • Experience using SAP.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and knowledge of railway and infrastructure projects, preferred.
