Job Opportunity: Drafting Manager

This position offers a unique chance for an experienced professional with strong Revit skills and leadership expertise to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic organization.

  • Lead and mentor a drafting team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality construction drawings using Revit.
  • Oversight of documentation preparation and review, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal best practices.
  • Effective coordination with cross-functional teams, including estimating, construction, and sales, to align drawings with project specifications.
  • Workload management, prioritization, and timely completion of drafting tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Liaison with external experts, such as engineers and certifiers, as required.
  • Establishment and maintenance of drafting standards, contributing to continuous process improvements and optimizing efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in residential drafting, with a strong portfolio showcasing their work.
  • Proficiency in Revit, demonstrated through the production of full construction documentation.
  • Previous leadership experience, managing or mentoring drafting staff.
  • Solid understanding of the National Construction Code, local council regulations, and residential construction practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, combined with excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with an investment or volume builder will be highly regarded.
