Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of an Incident Response Officer is to ensure the continuity of learning and safety across over 1500 schools in Victoria by monitoring security threats.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interpret alarm activations, making informed decisions regarding dispatching security service providers or law enforcement agencies
  • Foster a positive team environment through active contribution and leadership
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior incident response officers
  • Oversee complex security-related issues and provide strategic support
  • Establish strong relationships with security service providers and school leaders to address alarm activations and other security incidents
  • Assume additional responsibilities within the unit as assigned by team leaders or managers

Key Requirements:

  • Able to work on a rotating shift roster, including night shifts and weekends
Required Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software
