Job Opportunity

The Belmont Desalination Project is a major infrastructure project that aims to provide a reliable water supply to the lower Hunter region in New South Wales.

As a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project.

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Project Manager.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Direct exposure to interfacing with clients and working on a project through the lifecycle of planning, establishment, delivery, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  2. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  3. Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
  4. Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  5. Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  6. Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects with a budget of $100m+Experience in Water Infrastructure, highly desirable.
  • Experience in Building Services, highly desirable.
  • Project delivery and tender experience.
  • Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • A proactive attitude with a hands-on approach.
