This senior clinical leadership role is available to lead a team of nurses in our busy surgical ward, specializing in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in acute surgical care, with experience in mentoring, supporting, and supervising junior nursing staff.
About the Role- Provide expert clinical care to patients within Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery specialties.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key leadership role within the unit, supporting and guiding nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-focused care. You will collaborate with colleagues, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and serve as a clinical resource to support the continued growth and performance of the ward.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor, support, and supervise junior nursing staff and students.
- Actively lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and visiting medical officers.
- Contribute to operational planning and scheduling, maintaining accurate documentation.
