About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at 29Metals Limited. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering capital and upgrade projects across our operations and mining activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate projects, prepare estimates for budgets, and justify projects for AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) submission.
  • Manage the project lifecycle from scoping and detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Maintain cost control throughout project phases and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Supervise contractors and inspect project work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise to operations and maintenance teams, covering standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A tertiary degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Experience working within heavy industry or mineral processing plants.
  • Exposure to underground and/or open-pit mining operations.
