About You

This Casual Sessional position involves assisting senior technical staff with administrative duties during peak times in the academic calendar. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to teachers and students in a machine workshop environment, maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to customer service.

You will have outstanding communication skills, strong practical skills (hand tools and machinery), be a fast learner, and a team player. Specific knowledge or experience in working machine workshops will be advantageous.

We welcome applications from individuals who can prioritize workload and deadlines, manage time effectively, and analyze problems creatively. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to teachers and occasionally students in a machine workshop environment.
  • Help senior technical staff service machinery and prepare materials.
  • Work collaboratively as an effective and flexible member of the team.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide customer services to staff and/or HDR candidates where required.
  • Undertake other duties in various areas as required from time to time.
