Job Overview

Oyster Care is a leading provider of disability and mental health support services. We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in Nelson Bay, Newcastle NSW.

About the Role

This rewarding opportunity involves working with a participant who requires 24/7 care. You will be part of a supportive team that provides assistance with daily living tasks, community participation, and personal care. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of services and supporting junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain compliance with NDIS regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to continually improve service delivery and participant outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Foster a positive team culture by collaborating with support staff and junior workers, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expand service offerings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a management role within the disability support services sector and a comprehensive understanding of NDIS policies and procedures.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities, with a focus on motivating and inspiring teams to achieve their best.
  • Innovation: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in disability services, management, or a related field.
What We Offer

Oyster Care offers a competitive salary package based on the SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award). The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
