Sydney, New South Wales, Australia beBeeCreditRisk Full time $180,000 - $250,000
Lead Quantitative Model Developer

We're seeking a seasoned expert in credit risk management to join our team as a Lead Quantitative Model Developer. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of credit risk stress testing and collective provisioning across our diverse credit portfolios.

In this critical role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust stress testing frameworks, including those addressing emerging risks like climate change. Your expertise will also drive the development of accurate and insightful models that meet regulatory expectations.

As a key member of our Group Risk division, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless model implementation and validation. Your leadership skills will play a vital role in mentoring junior analysts and shaping the next generation of talent in quantitative modeling.

About You

To succeed in this position, you'll bring a deep understanding of credit risk, stress testing, and collective provisioning, ideally with more than eight years of experience in similar roles. A strong foundation in mathematical and statistical modeling, along with proficiency in tools like SQL, SAS, R, Python, and Git or Bitbucket, is essential.

Your ability to bridge technical modeling with business context, communicate complex ideas effectively, and stay curious about data insights sets you apart. As a confident communicator, you can explain intricate concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience leading teams and driving results through collaboration, proactivity, and a willingness to adapt are valuable assets.

A strong background in IFRS9, Basel, or APRA standards is highly desirable. If you're passionate about driving innovation and excellence in credit risk management, we encourage you to apply.
