About this role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our property management team as a Finance Manager. In this dynamic role, you will provide financial and management accounting support for a commercial portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports with commentary on variances versus budget/forecast.
- Manage accruals for income, outgoings, and operating expenses.
- Reconcile balance sheet, reimbursable expenses, and outgoings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, lease administration, and audit processes.
- Coordinate annual budgets and quarterly income reforecasts.
- Attend client and property management meetings to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Respond promptly to client queries and requests.
- Lead monthly finance meetings with Property Managers, addressing key variances and proposing solutions.
- Review and provide feedback on junior team members' work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Property Management / Commerce or related field, or several years of demonstrated accounting experience in a property/real estate background.
- CPA/CA or studying towards it is highly desirable.
- MRI knowledge is useful but not essential.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage workflow and priorities to meet deadlines for several client contacts.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
