About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Auditor to join our team at BDO Australia. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for executing audits for large proprietary and listed companies, ranging in size and industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing audits with minimal supervision
  • Completing planning sections of audit files
  • Working closely with other teams to develop Financial Audit strategies and methodologies
  • Collaborating with Senior Managers to identify potential problem areas or budget difficulties
  • Coordinating engagements without manager assistance, reporting directly to Partner where appropriate
  • Awareness of reporting and regulatory requirements across various frameworks

You will also be responsible for:

  • Analysis and documentation of internal controls and control environments
  • Drafting management letters and completion reports
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues and build internal relationships
  • Liaising with clients and identifying future opportunities
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 4+ years external audit experience in a large professional services firm
  • CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) – highly regarded but not essential

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, starting from $102,000 (inclusive of super), based on relevant experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including:
