Job Title: Aircrew Officer - Search and Rescue Specialist

CHC Helicopter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircrew Officer to join our team in East Sale, Victoria. As a key member of our search and rescue team, you will be responsible for conducting safe and efficient search and rescue operations, emergency medical evacuations, and other critical missions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct search and rescue operations in various onshore and offshore environments
  • Manage the aircraft's rear cabin during flying operations
  • Assist the aircraft captain in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections and documentation
  • Render first aid and assist in emergency situations
  • Travel to all CHC bases, including training and deployment locations
Qualifications and Skills:
  • CASA Class II medical
  • Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen (HLTAID015)
  • Flight Radiotelephone Operators License
  • CASA approved hoist endorsement under CASR PART 133/13
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
  • Cert IV in Aviation (CASA compliance)
  • SAR/EMS experience
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (H.U.E.T) and Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS)
  • SLS Bronze Medallion and Certificate II Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)
  • NVIS qualified and Night Operation Experience
  • FLIR imagery systems experience
