Cyber Security Systems Engineer Role

The Cyber Security Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and maintenance of security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) documentation.
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments, identify and recommend treatment controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in security working groups at Product and/or Project levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide input to and review the development of system tests and analysis that verify system security controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cyber Security Engineering experience with software development, computer networks, and embedded software systems.
  • Knowledge and experience related to Defence cyber security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.
  • Knowledge and experience about contemporary security engineering process, standards, principles, and best practice.
  • Tertiary qualifications in systems/software engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • Relevant cyber security certification(s).

Australian Citizenship and Defence Clearance Required:

A defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants will be required to be an Australian Citizen and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably NV1/NV2 level.
