Mechanical Assembly TechnicianWork on the mechanical assembly of railcars, utilizing cutting-edge technology in a state-of-the-art facility.
About the Role:- Perform tasks including but limited to torquing, bolting, piping, component and equipment installation, panel fitting, and door assembly.
- Operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently to support assembly processes.
- Conduct mechanical testing and fault finding
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or Equivalent
- Knowledge of mechanical rollingstock systems, manufacturing processes, and specialized equipment is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing best practices
- Ability to dismantle, replace, assemble, and fit mechanical and engineering components
- Experience in hydraulic systems is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
