Operational Food Service Manager

Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a skilled Operational Food Service Manager to join their Defence Base Services contract at RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting a strong food and beverage team to achieve excellence in service standards. This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and drive results-oriented performance.

In this key position, you will:

  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Coordinate the monthly bar and beverage stocktake, ensuring accurate reporting and timely submission
  • Monitor and control weekly rosters to ensure they align with budgetary constraints and contractual requirements
  • Attend and conduct regular pre-start meetings to maintain high levels of safety and quality
  • Input meal pass data into actual/forecast spreadsheets in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with buffet standards and ensure all toolboxes are uploaded into the IMS system

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in collaborative and consultative processes, with strong planning and organisational skills
  • A track record of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
  • Familiarity with Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
