We are seeking an accomplished Web Engineering Manager to drive the development of scalable and user-friendly web experiences for our customers.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success of your team by fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Estimate work, set objectives, and meet deadlines
  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software using web technologies or Flutter
  • Debug and resolve user-encountered issues
  • Participate in code and architectural reviews
  • Collaborate on technical specifications with colleagues and the community
  • Develop high-quality technical documentation
  • Pursue improvements to engineering and operations practices
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team
  • Promote product success through technical advocacy

Requirements

  • You possess expertise in web and software development
  • You value soft skills and embody passion, enterprise, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or provide a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive results and maintain a track record of exceeding expectations
  • You are well-organised, self-starting, and able to deliver according to schedule
  • Maintain a professional manner when interacting with colleagues, partners, and the community
  • Experience designing and writing high-quality web technologies
  • Experience with Typescript, React, or Flutter, along with a passion for these tools
  • A keen eye for accessibility and performance
  • Proficient written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Possess passion, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Results-driven, with a personal drive to meet commitments
