As an SME Underwriter, you will play a vital role in analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, interacting with the market, and driving a solution-focused underwriting culture. You will work closely with the SME Underwriting Manager and be part of a team that understands the needs of brokers and customers.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business
  • Interact with the market and drive a solution-focused underwriting culture
  • Work closely with the SME Underwriting Manager and the team
  • Ensure a high level of service to customers

Requirements:



  • ANZIIF Associate Insurance qualifications (preferred)
  • Experience in SME Packages (preferred)
  • Insurance knowledge of Underwriting Packages business, relevant legislation and regulations governing General Insurance
  • Knowledge of quoting systems
  • Strong understanding of and proven relationships across all broker networks
  • Strong business acumen / commercial mind-set
  • Deal management experience and sales closure skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence a broad set of stakeholders across various levels
