Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Officer to join our team in Visy Food Can & Beverage, Coburg. This is a full-time permanent position, working on our 12-hour day shift roster (7am to 7pm).

About the Role
  • As a Quality Control Officer, you will be accountable for the control, maintenance, and training of all aspects relating to quality systems and processes for food can ends.
  • You will perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality product is delivered to our customers.
  • Maintain accurate production, process, and quality records for the site.
  • Minimise spoilage levels by identifying process improvements and production issues.
  • Assist in training & development of production staff in line with standard operating processes and skills matrices.
  • Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
About You
  • You will have previous experience in quality control and defect analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • You are a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
  • You possess the ability to work a 12-hour day shift on a rotating roster – 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on (2-3-2).
  • You have proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • You display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
  • Australian Resident with unrestricted working rights.
