Job Overview

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Maroochydore, with opportunities also available for community outreach work in Gympie.

Early Start Australia is a national allied health organisation committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children and their families. With over 600 employees we support over 28,000 families across our clinics nationwide.

The successful candidate will work across a combination of clinic and mobile services, offering flexibility with full time or part time hours, or a 9 day fortnight option.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide evidence-based assessments and therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and adult caseload – including direct, family-based and community-based support to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities
  • To conduct assessments and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload, collaborating in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes
  • To work closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support
  • Ongoing evaluation, training and review to ensure delivery of quality services to clients
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and registration as a Speech Pathologist is essential
  • Passion for working with individuals who have disabilities to help each client achieve their goals and participate meaningfully in their community
  • Exceptional communication skills for working in a culturally diverse environment and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective time management and attention to detail
  • Commitment to making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for clients and families
  • Experience with children and adolescents and confidence in working closely with their families
  • Compliance requirements – registration; Working with Children Check; National Police Check; NDIS workers screening; First Aid; Driver's License & Vehicle
