About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Train Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight across our network.

With a strong focus on customer service and teamwork, you will work closely with our experienced drivers and operational staff to deliver exceptional results.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate locomotives safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Certify trains as ready for departure, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain a high level of on-time running, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives, guaranteeing optimal performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong commitment to safety, aligning with our company's safety strategy.
  • Availability to work a 24/7 shift roster, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in operating locomotives, preferably in heavy haulage or freight environments.
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent), demonstrating your expertise.
  • A current unrestricted Class C driver's licence, allowing you to operate complex vehicles.
