Meat Cutter

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled Meat Cutter. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meat products in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and reassemble equipment that has been sanitised overnight, reworking the display case to meet daily production needs and rotating product.
• Cut and trim meat to Costco specification using band saws and knives, operating tenderising machines and meat mincers.
• Follow safety and security procedures, proper departmental production procedures, and standards for quality and consistency of finished products.
• Assist with wrapping and stocking the meat case according to the Meat Manager's plan for product presentation and merchandising.
• Clean and sanitise the area throughout the day, including the coolroom, performing duties to comply with health regulations such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
• Complete and comply with all company policies of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and department.

Requirements:

• Completed Apprenticeship or Trade School preferred.
• Prior experience as a Butcher or Trade Qualification.
