Personal Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a positive and compassionate individual to provide care and support for Matt, a young independent male with Cerebral Palsy in Glen Waverley.

Matt enjoys going to festivals, bands, clubs, and hanging out with friends. He has a great sense of humour and a very easy-going manner.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to cook meals, possess intermediate cooking and food-handling skills, and enjoy cats. They must also hold a Current Police Clearance and an NDIS Worker Check.

Hours are flexible, averaging 8-10 hours per week, and wages are paid fortnightly above award + weekend Penalty Rates. A long-term commitment is required, with a minimum of 12 months.

We prefer a local person (Glen Waverley) as shifts are relatively short with the possibility of weekend getaways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and domestic support to Matt
  • Assist Matt with community access and outings
  • Cook meals and maintain a clean living environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent English language skills
  • Australian residency
  • Current Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Check
  • Intermediate cooking and food-handling skills
  • Likelihood to relocate to Glen Waverley

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NDIS certification
  • National Police Certificate
