Role Description:

At Alpha Kids, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment for children aged 12 months to 6 years. As a Learning Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational experiences that foster learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for children in our Early Childhood centre, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to support the overall academic progress of children.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Provide individualised attention and support to children as needed, and work closely with parents to ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain a constructive rapport with children, families, and staff, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and hygienic centre, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Use basic information technology to support teaching and learning practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with young children, preferably in an Early Childhood setting.
  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field (e.g., Diploma, Certificate).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
