Salary Range

A highly competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate, commensurate with relevant experience, ranging from $180,000 to $250,000 per annum.

Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in some really interesting litigious and non-litigious environment and planning law matters, working across the public and private sectors.

You will be engaged in a mix of transaction, advice and litigation work in the areas of major project approvals, environmental licensing and compliance, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Court proceedings, contaminated land and waste management, water law, risk management and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on environmental and planning law matters
  • Conduct research and analysis to support legal opinions and recommendations
  • Prepare and present court submissions and other legal documents
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality results

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of years PQE ideally gained within a reputable Environment & Planning practice
  • Experience and expertise with planning litigation, advice and project management
  • Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong drafting skills
  • Strong academic achievements
