Property Operations Specialist

This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to site operations and community land management, working collaboratively as a key member of our team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced professional to manage leases, licenses, and tenancy agreements for Council buildings and land, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and regulations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating property maintenance contracts, including cleaning, HVAC, pest control, and other services, to ensure optimal property conditions.
  • A strong focus on safety is essential, requiring regular monitoring of WHS and legislative requirements for tenanted buildings, with proactive measures in place to mitigate risks.
  • Maintaining accurate lease registers and providing strategic support for property decisions, such as acquisitions and disposals, is a critical aspect of this role.
  • The Property Operations Specialist will also assist with road closures, encroachments, and community/commercial leases and licenses, ensuring seamless integration with other departments.
  • In addition, they will contribute to asset management planning and capital works programs, driving informed decision-making through data-driven insights and analysis.
About You:
  • Prior experience in Council or State Government is highly valued, but not essential. We are open to applicants from diverse backgrounds who possess relevant skills and qualifications.
  • A strong foundation in property legislation and asset management practices is crucial, enabling you to navigate complex regulatory environments and make informed decisions.
  • Skillful negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement are essential for success in this role, along with proficiency in maintaining property databases and documentation.
  • A motivated, organized, and independent individual with excellent communication skills will thrive in this position, working effectively within a dynamic team environment.
