About the Role

The Alfred Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join its multidisciplinary team. As an essential member of the subacute rehabilitation team, you will work closely with patients and their families to provide high-quality care and support.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing individual interventions and therapy programs as delegated by treating therapists. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will enable you to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support functions to assist with patient management and contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the ward.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary allied health teams to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each patient's identified therapeutic and discharge goals.
  • Implement individual interventions and therapy programs as delegated by treating therapists.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation, or equivalent qualification.
  • Higher qualification in a relevant allied health discipline at Diploma or Associate Diploma level, or recognised equivalent.
  • Certificate level qualification in a relevant health-related field, or overseas-trained Allied Health practitioner with a qualification at Diploma level or higher.
