As a Network Development Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team working on Project Kuiper, a groundbreaking initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit.

In this role, you will work closely with Systems Development Engineers to design, develop, and maintain innovative tools for monitoring, operating, and scaling ground network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on driving root cause resolution of network events and collaborating with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of new designs and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements to streamline manual tasks, automate repetitive processes, and eliminate outages
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our engineering teams to ensure efficient rollout of new designs and products
  • Tool Development: Design and develop tools to measure and improve performance and availability of the Kuiper Ground Infrastructure
  • Project Leadership: Lead operational excellence projects to enhance network reliability and performance
  • Critical Support: Provide timely incident response and participate in an on-call rotation
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for the operations of the Kuiper's ground gateways and backbone connectivity
