Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician/Consultant

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced emergency medicine professional to join a dynamic team at one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals.

As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide emergency medical services to patients, promote quality and safety, provide training, supervision and education for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other consultants and the Head of Department.

The hospital is accredited for ACEM training, which provides opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing emergency medical services to patients
  • Leading the medical members of the team
  • Promoting quality and safety
  • Providing training, supervision and education for doctors in training and other health workers

Required Qualifications:

  • Fellowship or eligible for fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
  • International Medical Graduates (IMGs) eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway
  • Substantially comparable by ACEM College assessment
  • Awarded fellowship (FACEM) in the next 6 months encouraged to apply
