About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Accountant to join our dynamic team and lead the financial operations. As the Head of Property Accounts, you will be pivotal in overseeing the accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and optimizing the financial systems to support the rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Accounting Functions: Manage all accounting tasks, including trust accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with Australian standards.
  • Develop & Implement Processes: Create and deploy scalable accounting processes and systems to handle our high transaction volume efficiently.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 5 remote bookkeepers based in the Philippines, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Financial Insights & Support: Work closely with management to provide insightful financial analysis and support strategic decision-making.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards and real estate regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to drive business performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Trust Account Manager, Bookkeeper or similar role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certified ideal but not necessary.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, real estate regulations, and financial management practices. Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor remote teams effectively.
  • Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
