**Job Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance and Risk Manager to lead our governance, corporate risk, and compliance functions.

  • Lead governance and risk frameworks, including enterprise risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage and chair the Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee (ARIC), representing and advocating for high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Oversee statutory compliance, corporate registers, and integrated planning/reporting obligations.
  • Act as the Public Officer and manage Freedom of Information (GIPA) and Privacy matters.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide high-quality governance advice to Executives, Managers, and Councillors.
  • Leading and mentoring staff to develop a strong team culture.

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualifications in governance, law, policy, risk management, or business.
  • Demonstrated experience in governance, legal, or administrative roles involving risk management practices.
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation and ability to interpret with accuracy and confidence.
