About the Opportunity

As a Traffic Safety Educator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of road safety by developing and delivering engaging education programs to primary schools across Metropolitan Melbourne. You'll manage logistics and resources, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to program development through feedback and data collection.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality education programs to schools, including lesson preparation, meetings, workshops, and resource management.
  • Promoting education programs through various channels.
  • Collecting participant data and feedback to inform program improvement.
  • Contributing innovative ideas for program enhancement.
  • Supporting remote presenters through regular communication.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program quality.
  • Maintaining a safe workplace and managing health, safety, and environment (HSE) issues in accordance with RACV policies.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Essential – A relevant tertiary qualification in education, preferably in primary school teaching.
  • Essential - Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Experience in teaching in Victorian schools and knowledge of the Victorian education system and curriculum standards.
  • Effective communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to meet their needs.
  • Self-motivation to drive your own performance.
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for travel to and from school bookings.
