Home Care AssistantAbout the Role

As a Home Care Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals in their daily lives. You will be responsible for providing care and assistance to enable them to maintain their independence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Support with mobility, transfers, and walking aids as required.
  • Encourage participation in activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition or behaviour.
Requirements
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support is preferred.
  • Previous experience in care work is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
