We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Qantas Group. As a specialist, you will play a critical role in upholding the highest standards of maintenance on motorised and non-motorised vehicles and equipment.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position based in Mascot, NSW, where you will work closely with various stakeholders across engineering, airports, and freight to ensure service level agreements are met with the highest standard of safety and compliance.

You will be responsible for using the IFS Maintenance system to capture maintenance activities, adapting under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining safe work practices and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain motorised and non-motorised vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Use the IFS Maintenance system to capture maintenance activities, including scheduling and tracking
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals and meet service level agreements
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • A trade certificate in Automotive or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years post-trade experience preferably
  • Fabrication and welding experience will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication skills with a strong customer focus
  • Sound computer literacy
  • Ability to work shift work – mornings and afternoons
