Job Title

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and safety-conscious technician to join our team at Cape Lambert Power Station.

You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, scheduled and breakdown maintenance, and the operation of assets as required.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain LM6000PF Gas Turbine Generators and Balance of Plant systems, including RO water treatment plant, Compressed air systems, Waste Water system, Diesel Generators, and DCS operating platforms.
  • Deliver against a wide variety of mechanical and operational activities, including but not limited to:
    • Maintenance and repair of equipment
    • Troubleshooting and fault-finding
    • Inspection and testing
Qualifications
  • A proactive approach and strong commitment to maintaining a safe working culture.
  • Trade qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience and confidence in delivering against your mechanical trade.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in operations and maintenance of LM6000 Gas Turbines and Balance of Plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID's.
  • Use, understand, and follow GE GEK manual procedures.
  • RO Plant Maintenance and operation.
  • Compressors and Air system maintenance.
  • Diesel generator engine maintenance.
  • A current C Class WA Manual Driver's License.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IHI operating systems.
  • Experience and understanding of Work Management Processes and Practices.
Desirable Additional Skills
  • High Risk Work Licences in LF, WP, DG, RG.
  • Type B Gas Appliance, Supervising or Supervised Gas Fitter.
  • Light fabrication and Lathe/Mill operation.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP.
