Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

This Behaviour Support Practitioner role is a critical position in our team, requiring an individual with strong skills in behaviour support and a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing behaviour support to NDIS participants of all ages, observing, assessing and creating tailored behaviour support plans that meet the unique needs of each individual. They will also work closely with families, carers and support teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant.
  • Conduct regular assessments and observations to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, carers and support teams to ensure effective communication and seamless service delivery.
  • Provide education and training to support staff on behaviour support strategies and techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, behaviour analysis (BCBA), social work, teaching/early childhood care, social sciences or criminology.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour support principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
