We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our client's finance team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large, well-established ASX listed mining business that is undergoing a period of transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly financial results
  • Prepare annual and interim financial reports in compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements
  • Prepare annual remuneration report
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, including assisting with investor presentations
  • Prepare standalone company accounts to support dividend payments
  • Provide accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards, including assisting with the preparation of accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee
  • Provide technical accounting support, identify and analyze accounting issues
  • Prepare corporate monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues
  • Coordinate and oversee the audit process as the primary point of contact for the auditors
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Ad-hoc project work as required

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position within a listed business
  • Working knowledge of the mining and resources sector is highly advantageous
  • Ability to start immediately or on short notice
