Cow Milker

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our farm team as a Cow Milker. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care of our herd, including milking, calf rearing, and maintaining the cleanliness of the shed and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Milking: Milk 2 times a day, identify mastitis, and provide treatment accordingly.
• Calf Rearing: Ensure calves receive adequate colostrum, ID cow and calf pairs, maintain records, and provide prompt treatment for sick calves.
• Shed Maintenance: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the shed and surrounding areas.
• General Farm Work: Assist with general farm duties, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good animal handling and husbandry skills.
