About This RoleThis casual role involves providing high-quality care and support to clients with various disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Facilitating social, recreational, and educational activities to promote clients' independence and community engagement
- Monitoring clients' physical and emotional wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all clients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: Preferably a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar disability support or aged care role
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and abilities
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
