Job Title: Yacht Finisher

We are seeking an experienced Yacht Finisher to join our team. As a Yacht Finisher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on luxury yachts.

  • Good working knowledge of painting and varnishing procedures, including experience with wood and GRP surfaces.

  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.

  • Experience in spraying paint/varnish on cabinetry kitchens, bathrooms, furniture (ideally 5+ years, time-served).

  • Wide experience in French Polishing techniques, including hand finishing cabinetry and boat furniture.

  • Smart repair experience desirable but not essential.

  • Marine experience desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

">

  • Prepare for finishing, filling, masking and sanding timber and GRP with a range for different grit wet or dry paper, using orbital sanders.

  • French Polishing to and repairs to finished cabins and other boat furniture.

  • Hand applying finishes on solid and veneered timber products - using water-based lacquers, paints and hard wax oils.

  • Working daily with many solid hardwoods and veneered timber products, offering a range of different varnished finishes.

  • Occasional spraying on timber and GRP – using Polyurethane and Epoxy paint systems.

  • Carrying out smart repairs where necessary – using Konig smart repair system.

  • Health and safety, ensuring the correct PPE is being used when working, and understanding of paint system's requirements.

  • Occasional external painting of hulls for anti-fouling and deck superstructure finishing.
